A fishing rod has been known to anglers for a long time, over several centuries it has evolved from a simple juniper rod to a modern structure that has dozens of modifications – with and without coils, with brakes of various kinds, all kinds of whips, nods and, finally, mormyshki of all imaginable sizes and colors.
But I see my task not in describing the history and features of fishing rods existing today, but in attracting as many beginning anglers to winter fishing as possible. I will try to save them from making many mistakes and help to overcome the difficulties that he once encountered.
Of course, I do not pretend to be the ultimate truth, since tackles for winter fishing will continue to be improved – stronger and lighter fishing rod materials, thin and strong fishing lines, hooks and mormyshki of new generations, and most importantly, new ideas and developments. Continue reading
