number of bites
For fishermen-athletes, the most interesting are salmon and trout, which are caught on sports equipment. These fish willingly grab baubles and other artificial baits, but are very stubborn when fishing them after being caught on a fishing rod.
Salmon-semga reaches 1.5 meters in length and 40 kilograms in weight. It spawns from late August to October, in areas with a fast flow and soil of gravel and small pebble. On the Kola Peninsula, in the Kola, Tuloma and Niva rivers, salmon enter in spring H in mid-May, in summer H in mid-June and in August. Salmon enter the Neva, Luga, Narova and other smaller rivers flowing into the Gulf of Finland from July 10–12 until the end of the month, and then from mid-August to mid-September. Continue reading
I must say that uncontrolled pike fishing for bets brings a lot of damage to the reservoir, because stavers in some areas are just weeks. The locals go check them every day and of course there is no question of any sportiness. Of course, a huge amount of pike is knocked out, it happens that a large pike feeds once every two to three days, and it happens that once a week, and therefore, if there is a reservoir under such presses, then there are fewer pikes in it. But if you use artificial baits from ice, then you can have a catch on almost any winter day almost as much as stavers, and it’s very interesting, reckless and most importantly, that pike is a great fighter, during hooking, when you feel that big the weight on the fishing rod, with your hands you feel how the fish is torn, then it is pleasantly interesting and reckless. Basically, only with the cooling of water they clog into the wintering pits, lie on the bottom or buried in soft silt, become covered with a thick layer of mucus, fall into suspended animation – in general, they do not peck. This was repeatedly mentioned in his classical works by L.P. Sabaneev.
However, publications about unexpected and successful fishing occasionally appear in fishing publications when crucian carp, carps or tench became trophy for fishermen in winter. Continue reading
