Catching fish on the “tyrant” and “track” in the Black Sea

Fishing in the Black Sea on artificial baits is not described, although it is now widespread along the coast. Such methods include: fishing for tyrants on artificial flies from a vertical allowance, fishing for dead fish on tackles, fishing for spinning bonito, sea bass, white fish, and sometimes salmon and tuna, and fly fishing for fish and mackerel needles. Some fishermen for some reason believe that there are few fish in the Black Sea. On the contrary, it is rich in fish both in number and variety of species. Especially a lot of it in the region of Yevpatoria and in the Kerch Bay. Unfortunately, the remaining places are still poorly studied by fishermen-athletes.
To catch small fish H perches, herring or mackerel CH, use 12CH15 small hooks No. 4CH6. For larger fish, 4CH5 hooks of larger H No. 1CH3 are used. To snap tyrants all hooks should be well laid out. This protects them from rust and keeps the leashes longer. Feathers are attached to the hooks using silk thread. In many places, it is believed that two blue feathers from a jay tied to the back of the hook significantly increase nibble. A small shiny plate is sometimes soldered to the back of the hook. Small fish are often detected on each hook, and the more of them, the better. But a very large number of hooks increases the length of the cord and makes it difficult to maneuver with all the gear.

When catching large fish, a large number of hooks even leads to accidents. To avoid them, the angler must reckon with what the fish usually takes for the lower hooks, and most of the upper hooks remain empty. Large fish always with resistance makes strong jerks. To loosen them, you have to hand over the cord, allowing it to slide between your clasped fingers. When this happens on the part of the cord where the hooks are tied, they almost always dig into clothing or into the body. Therefore, it is recommended that when catching large fish, tie no more than five hooks. In general, tyrant has to be mounted with hooks depending on local conditions and, often, during fishing itself.

In different seasons, you need to use a different number and different size hooks. Fishermen usually have different Osamodury Fs: some for large fish, others for small fish. They differ from each other by the strength of the cord, the weight of the cargo and the number of hooks. There is a salvage and with removable hooks. Hooks for tyrants should be mounted carefully. First of all, you need to tie a leash, in which a loop must be made before binding. The hook must be well camouflaged with feathers.

There is no consensus on the color of the feathers. In the Odessa region, it is believed that only variegated feathers from a guinea fowl should go to a tyrant. Under Balaclava, both white and black feathers are used. Blue feathers of jay are recognized as the best on the Caucasian coast. It seems to me that the more colorful the garland of hooks is on the tyrant, the more the fish eagerly attacks it. Some hooks are recommended to be equipped with red feathers. Sometimes a piece of tinplate or brass is soldered to the hook. Then we get the likeness of our winter baubles. I did not have the opportunity to test a tyrant made of our winter lures, but I think that it will work no worse than local gear, and maybe even better, since sea fish are less picky and more greedy than freshwater.

The method of using tycoon is very similar to the use of our winter fishing rods. Fishing is carried out from a boat at a depth of 10 to 30 meters. The fisherman puts the boat, unwinds the cord and lowers the load to the bottom, then raises the load by 20 × 40 centimeters and begins fishing. Catching consists in periodically raising and lowering the gear with a slight twitch and resembles our lures.

The bite of even a small fish feels very good, and a large fish tears with such force that it is difficult to hold a cord in his hands. This must be taken into account in advance. A reel with the rest of the cord is recommended to be firmly tied to the boat.

After the first bite, you should wait a bit, because other fish can catch on the remaining hooks. When the bite-jerks are over, the cord must be selected and carefully folded into the boat to prevent tangling. The lower part of the cord with hooks is always recommended to be folded separately.

It is easier to fish for large fish on tyrants than on fishing rods, because the fish have to not only resist the man, but also carry the load in half a kilogram. It is not recommended to drag large fish directly into the boat on a cord. It is better to pick it up with a sucker or hook.

It is more convenient to be on a boat together. In this case, one can row and the other to catch. You should start fishing depending on the wind, so that the boat drifts in the desired direction. We can assume that with a coastal wind it is better to start fishing from a shallow depth so that the boat can be referred to deeper places. In wind from the sea, it is advisable to start fishing from a greater depth. To keep the boat in the place where a good fish bite is found, it is advisable to have a rower.
